Bilbo Baggins Cosplay Review - CosplaySky.com

So before I went to my England vacation, my lovely and very talented fiancé took some really nice pictures of me in my brand new Bilbo Baggins. Bilbo is one of my favorite characters from the Hobbit, and after seeing the Hobbit movies, I came to like him even in the LOTR movies as well, even if I didn't fancy him much in those earlier. I honestly didn't think I would fit Bilbo - I don't think I look like Martin Freeman at all, in any way. He's an adorably handsome man, and I'm just a baby faced silly lad.

I really wanted to make the costume myself, but I also wanted it before this year's end, for some projects and such. And since my sewing machine isn't my friend at the moment, I sought help from the cosplay company I trust the most - CosplaySky.com

I will show you some photos and tell you more about the costume!

What I really like about this costume is that it looks natural. Since it's from a "real life" movie, and not cartoon movies or anime, I wanted my costume to look more like real clothes than a "fake" costume. The fabrics used in this cosplay are all different for each piece of clothing, and they look very much like "real" clothes that you would wear daily, material wise. The buttons, the seems and every little detail makes the outfit become more alive and special. I really felt like a hobbit while wearing it!

(And for those who wants to ask/keep nagging: I got the wig from my fiancé, who got it off eBay. The ears are from eBay as well, and just temporary. OH, and about the hairy feet etc, I couldn't use the usual glue on my feet so I skipped it. I did not forget.)

Here are some closeups from what it looks like, and more detailed pictures of important parts of the costume!

I got my costume in the size female xs, since you can choose male or female sizes, depending on your body type. Since I'm very short and thin, female xs suits me the best. You can check up on their website for every costume, under the little measurements section, to make sure yours will fit, or you can actually get it custom made by entering your own measurements!

The costume was surprisingly comfortable, although I would recommend not wearing it during a hot summer day like I did, haha...! Also I have to say that this was the worst, yet the best photoshoot I've had so far this year. The worst, because I went out barefoot in the woods, and had spiders crawling allover my feet...
(cry cry cry ;;A;; but everything for cosplay, right? Haha!)
The best because of how the pictures turned out! I really love them to bits! This is probably one of my favorite costumes from CosplaySky, after the Lady Ciel costume that I have.

As usual, the shipping was fast, only about 1,5 week after the costumes were finished. Always good if you're in a rush!

I like how this costume totally turned me from Jack to Bilbo in the blink of an eye! This is why I really like the website and their costumes so much.

  1. Aaah Bilbo! Lovely photos! :D
    I like the atmosphere in these! The color editing makes it have a nostalgic feel to it somehow; it's pleasant to look at. :)
    I'm surprised by how well you suit him, haha.
    I want to cosplay someone from the LotR universe someday too, been thinking about Legolas for so long but I'm not sure if I can pull him off... ;_;
