Angry Rant About Money And Sponsorships

So I guess I just want to rant a bit again? So here we go.

I know many keep asking things such as "how can you afford that?" and "how do you have so much money?!". Saying that I'm so lucky to get things sent to me, and stuff like that. Yes, of course I'm lucky! I'm getting a lot of help from many people. But some people just seem to think that I'm a lazy ass person who does nothing and yet gets everything I point at.

So okay, here we go. I'm currently a high school student. I'm finally taking my last courses, and I'm at my "3rd" year. I re-did the whole 2nd grade because of my unstable home situation and because I was very ill for a while. I don't have a "real" job, either full or part-time. I have to apply for money, from my county, from social services. It's for people who's in a bad situation. For example if you're sick, or in my case, have no other choice. I have to pay my rent, bills, and buy food. Sometimes, I can afford doing fun things, like traveling to my boyfriend, or events (unless the travel costs are covered by the event if I'm a guest), going to the movies, eating out or anything that is the kind of "daily" luxury you can think of. Sometimes, I can afford something like equipment, for my movie making, which is always something that makes me happy.

The only time I really earn money is when I get my Youtube money. And with that salary, I pay taxes. If I earn, let's say, 600 SEK, then social services will give me 600 SEK less. I will always have the same amount of money to use every month. And it's good enough for me really!

But here's another way I'm lucky.

Being a blogger and a Youtuber, gives me the privilege to work with crafting people, companies and such. Yes, I do that a lot. So when you see me with an expensive wig, or a bunch of new clothes, or whatever really, it's most likely sponsored by a company who's shown interest in me.

And I'm not ashamed of this. But I don't want to brag about it either. It's just a very fun thing to do, and I'm very grateful for these opportunities. For a long time, I've heard comments about how spoiled I am, etc etc, and I've felt bad. But you know what? When I get things sent to me, it's not just about "getting free stuff". When I get things, I work HARD to do what I'm supposed to do. Making a review, a blog post, a video, photoshoot, tutorial, or whatever. It takes me hours of hard work, and sometimes with help from Sebastian. I don't want to do things half-assed. I want to be honest, and show products that are good, and tell you guys about them. If I don't like something, I will mention that. I almost always check up on companies who ask for my cooperation, to see if they are reliable, so I'm sure I won't get something I won't be pleased with.

Sometimes, I take over a 100 model photos for just a few pieces of clothing to make sure it's alright. I can take retakes of a video so many times before I'm pleased with it. Then it's always editing, writing, and trying to make it as honest and nice as possible. Sometimes things are rushed and can't be helped. I try to avoid that.

Many times I say no to companies, because they want me to do things that's against my policies, and just don't seem to serious. Or simply because I lack the time to get good work done.

It's very fun though. I love doing this. And I don't want to be ashamed of that. I'm finally convinced, by my great friends, that I should be proud of the effort I put in modelling and working like this, and that I need to learn not to listen. So I will.

Then of course there's all of you who's always so positive and really sweet, and your support means SO much to me. Love you all!

Thanks for bearing with me!
